College notebook: Rake’s six 3s help Truman State

Former Center Grove guard Claire Rake had six points in Truman State’s 83-75 win over Lewis, and knocked six three-pointers on her way to a career-high 21 points in a 79-55 victory at McKendree.

Center Grove

Ella Thompson matched her career high with 25 points while leading Bentley to an 80-70 win over Southern Connecticut State. The junior hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 of her points in the game’s first 12 minutes.

Emma Utterback finished with 13 points, four assists and three steals for Vermont in its 65-59 loss at Stony Brook.

Purdue guard Cassidy Hardin scored six points, collected two rebounds and made two steals in a 69-59 victory at Michigan State.

Indiana junior Trayce Jackson-Davis had 13 points, 12 rebounds and two assists as the Hoosiers defeated Minnesota, 73-60.

Guard Spencer Piercefield finished with 10 points, seven assists and five rebounds for Indiana Wesleyan in its 89-77 win over Bethel. He had 11 points and six assists in the Wildcats’ 73-71 triumph at Huntington.

University of Indianapolis junior guard Ben Nicoson had three points and four boards in a 78-61 win at Missouri S&T.

Indian Creek

Bethel senior guard Jared DeHart had eight points, five assists and two steals in an 89-77 loss to Indiana Wesleyan. He finished with 16 points, six boards and five assists in a 100-97 loss to Mt. Vernon Nazarene.

Franklin

Freshman guard Kyra Baker had six points, three rebounds and three assists in Huntington’s 70-57 loss to Marian. She finished with five points, two rebounds and two assists in a 69-35 home loss to Indiana Wesleyan.

Junior Bayleigh Torrance had three points, five rebounds and an assist off the bench for Franklin College in a 65-59 loss to Hanover.

Whiteland

Franklin College guard Libby Baker had six points, five rebounds and two assists in a 68-64 loss at Anderson. She had two assists and three steals in a 65-59 loss to Hanover.

St. Francis senior guard Sidney Crowe had 10 points and three rebounds in her team’s 81-71 loss to Marian.

Junior forward Carter Crowe had four points and eight rebounds for Franklin College in its 73-60 loss at Anderson. He had 14 points and two assists in the Grizzlies’ 81-57 loss at Hanover.

Greenwood Christian

Indiana Wesleyan freshman Izzy Reed scored four points to help the women’s basketball team score a 69-35 win at Huntington.
