Police seeking suspects in Greenwood burglary

Greenwood police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help identifying two men they say were involved in a burglary last month.

Police responded to the 300 block of Legacy Boulevard on the city’s southeast side after receiving a burglary report on Dec. 16. When they arrived, they were told by the homeowners that he and his children had arrived home to discover the house was in disarray, and that the back window was broken, according to a Greenwood police department report.

Police searched the home and were unable to find any intruders. One of the homeowners walked through the home with police and said no one but the immediate family had access to the home, the report said.

The homeowner later told police more than $2,000 worth of items and more than $5,000 in currency were missing from the home, the report says.

Two men were captured on home security cameras inside the home while the residents were away, according to a Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana news release.

Anyone with any information about the men is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477). Callers should provide the Crime Stoppers case number, 220114SR.
