Braves salvage split

Indian Creek’s boys won the 400-yard freestyle relay to edge Greensburg, 74-73, and pull out a split of Wednesday’s dual meet. The Braves lost on the girls side, 67-21. The Creek boys got wins from Evan Dennis (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly), Evan Schaub (200 and 500 free), Nolan Greene (100 free, 100 back) and Willy Martinez (diving). Ella Taylor won the 50 free and 1-meter diving for the girls.

Woodmen sweep Golden Bears

Greenwood made light work of Shelbyville, with the girls taking a 130-42 win and the boys earning a 115-54 victory. The girls were led by first-place finishes from Reagan Graves (100 and 200 freestyle), Madison Peckinpaugh (50 free, 100 breaststroke), Naomi Weaver (100 fly, 100 back), Chloe Vitatoe (200 IM), Hailey Peckinpaugh (500 free) and Madison Ramsey (diving). The Woodmen boys got two wins each from Andrew Mears (200 free, 100 fly), Conner Peckinpaugh (200 IM, 100 free) and Joe Sheets (50 free, 100 back) and one from Ben Wehnert (100 breast).

Cougars outrun Orioles

Max Booher scored 20 points and Noah Reed added 17 as Greenwood Christian overwhelmed Indiana Deaf on Wednesday, 73-49. Parker Satre chipped in 10 points for the Cougars (7-8).

Royals fall to Bull Dogs

Roncalli took a 57-28 home loss to Columbus North. Luke Kegerreis led the Royals (4-7) with 12 points.
