Marcus Dane Olibo, 37 of Franklin, IN, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN. He is now in perfect glory with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Marcus was born July 10, 1984 in Franklin, IN to Rene’ and Julie D. (Goff) Olibo. He married Crystal L. (Robinson) Olibo on March 7, 2009 in Boynton Beach, FL.

He was a 2003 graduate of Franklin Community High School and 2007 graduate of Indiana State University with a B.A. degree in journalism.

Marcus worked as a FSL supervisor (inventory control) for Asurion in Indianapolis, IN.

He was a member of Emmanuel Church Franklin Campus. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on July 19, 1992.

Marcus enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, the Christmas season, fireworks on July 4th and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include the love of his life, Crystal L. (Robinson) Olibo of Franklin, IN, his children Cohen Dane Olibo and Landon Dane Olibo both at home, his parents Rene’ and Julie D. (Goff) Olibo of Franklin, IN, his sister Jordan L. Sanders (Brian) of Franklin, IN, his nephew Elias Sanders, extended family Howard Lesley of Franklin, IN and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl “Roger” Goff and Martha (Setser) Goff, Celestino Olibo and Gloria (Garza) Lesley and niece Elena Wren Sanders.

Pastors Ashely Schneider and Frank Finney will conduct a service on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Emmanuel Church Franklin Campus, 550 Homestead Boulevard in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed. The link will be posted on the Facebook page “Praying For Marcus.” Friends may call on Saturday January 22, 2022 from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. It is requested that those attending please wear approved COVID-19 facial coverings for the safety of all present.

A private family graveside service will be conducted on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made for the benefit of Marcus’ and Crystal’s children. Checks can be made payable to Crystal Olibo and given at the church contribution box, or mailed to Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South Morton Street Franklin, IN 46131.
