Mark Jay Adams, 67, of Greenwood, Indiana went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 16, 2022. Mark was born December 29, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mark was an optician for Lens Crafters in Greenwood for 35 years. Mark graduated from Greenwood High School in 1973. He graduated from ITT Technical Institute in 1979 with certification in HVAC systems. He later received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in 1983. Mark married Amanda Selby (Greensburg, IN) in 1989. They were blessed with two children Rebekah &Joshua. Mark was a sweet, down to earth, fun-loving man. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was a very creative person with many hobbies. He painted with both oil and water color. He enjoyed photography and played many musical instruments, primarily guitar. Mark enjoyed bike riding and participated in more than 25 Hilly Hundreds in Southern Indiana. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather. Mark is survived by former wife Amanda, his children Rebekah Adams (fianc? Justin Jackson) and Joshua Adams, grandchildren Jaydeson Adams and Jack Boyd Adams, brother Rex (Carolyn) Adams, sister-in-law Jenny Adams, nephews Clark Adams and Carson Adams, and niece Gabrielle Selby. He was preceded in death by his beloved family Jack (father), Marjorie (mother) and Tony (brother).
A visitation will be on Sunday, January 30th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood, IN with a Celebration of Marks’s life 1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
