Blake Shewmaker torched Traders Point Christian for 28 points in Greenwood Christian’s 51-40 victory on Tuesday night. Max Booher added 15 points for the Cougars (14-9), who have now won six in a row.

Men’s basketball wins home finale

In its final home game of the season, Franklin College pulled out a 71-69 win over Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday in a contest that featured nine ties and 23 lead changes. Matt Krause scored a game-high 21 points for the Grizzlies (11-13, 7-9 HCAC), who got a key 3-pointer from Cody Samples late in the game.

Women’s basketball gets OT road win

Jasmine Walker scored a career-best 17 points off the bench, leading Franklin College to a 77-69 overtime win at Mount St. Joseph. The Grizzlies (8-14, 6-9 HCAC) got 55 points in all from their reserves in the victory.
