Brunson, Traylor named All-State
Franklin seniors Kuryn Brunson and Ashlyn Traylor were among the select players named to the IBCA’s “Supreme 15” Senior All-State team on Tuesday.
Traylor led the Class 4A runner-up Grizzly Cubs with 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game. Brunson, an Indiana Junior All-Star and the county player of the year last winter, averaged 14 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 steals and a team-high 2.9 assists. Both players passed the career 1,000-point mark this season while leading Franklin to a 28-2 record.
The two Grizzly Cub seniors were joined on the senior team by Crown Point’s Jessica Carrothers and Lilly Stoddard, Carmel’s Kate Clarke, Westfield’s Alyssa Crockett, Columbus East’s Koryn Greiwe, Blue River Valley’s Ally Madden, McCutcheon’s Teresa Maggio, Silver Creek’s Kynidi Mason-Striverson, Homestead’s Ayanna Patterson, South Bend Washington’s Mila Reynolds, Terre Haute North’s Zoe Stewart, Washington’s Alaina Thorne and North Central’s Tanyuel Welch.
Indian Creek sophomores Lauren Foster and Faith Wiseman were named honorable mention underclass All-State.
