FRANKLIN
Braxton Jean (Allen) Doty 77, of Franklin, IN passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 13, 1945, in Jefferson County, Kentucky at Camp Taylor.
She married Terry Lee Doty on October 29, 1971, at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church at Stones Crossing, Greenwood, IN, he survives.
She had been a florist, interior designer, the owner of two home d?cor shops the Carriage House by the Pines and Ivy Cottage, office manager for Doty and Sons Construction, homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother “Mamaw, GG” aunt and sister. She was very active in PSI Iota Xi Sorority over volunteers, events and activities. She was the founder of the Center Grove PTO, home tour and various school events.
She accepted Christ in her life as a child and was baptized by her grandfather who was a Methodist minister. Jean rededicated her life with Christ at Frist Christian Church in Bargersville, IN on July 25, 1982, along with her husband and children. Jean and her husband Terry relocated their membership to Gracepoint Church in Whiteland, IN on October 24, 2021.
Survivors include her husband Terry Lee Doty of Franklin, IN, daughters Natalie Sirois (Michael Bullerdick) of Avon, IN, April Reamsnyder (Tom Reamsnyder) of Indianapolis, IN and Tiffany Hardwick (Ryan Hardwick) of Whiteland, IN, grandchildren Ashley Santana (David Santana) of Indianapolis, IN, Chandler Jones of Indianapolis, IN, Jacob Smith of Whiteland, IN, William Hardwick of Whiteland, IN and Brayden Bullerdick of Avon, IN, like a brother to her Jess Mills of Louisville, KY, brother-in-laws Donald LaFountaine of Whiteland, IN, Donald E. Doty (Beverly Doty) of Franklin, IN, Kevin Doty (Cheryl Doty) of Trafalgar, IN, a sister-in-law Gloria Jeanie Vansickle (Ronald Vansickle) of Trafalgar, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father Melvin D. “Mickey” “M.D.” Allen, her mother “Betty” Rosa H. (Purcell) Allen Henderson and a sister Shirley A. (Allen) Mills LaFountaine.
Pastor Kevin Whitaker will conduct a service on Monday March 7, 2022, at 2PM at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com braxtonjean-doty. Friends may call Monday March 7, 2022, from 12 Noon till service time at the mortuary. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in White River Township, Greenwood, IN.
