Portion of Enclave Boulevard to close for Greenwood sewer project

Drivers on Greenwood’s far westside should prepare for a nearly three-week-long closure of Enclave Boulevard.

Enclave Boulevard will be closed between Enclave Crossing and Clary Boulevard North Drive starting today as the city works on its Western Regional Interceptor project. The Western Regional Interceptor encompasses 10 miles of sewer pipeline through White River Township, which is serviced by Greenwood’s sanitary sewer system. When it’s completed, the project will alleviate capacity issues, while also expanding capacity for future development in Greenwood and White River Township.

The official detour for northbound drivers is Clary Lane to Clary Boulevard South Drive, then State Road 135 to Clary Boulevard North Drive. Southbound drivers are encouraged to follow the route in reverse.

Residents who live along Enclave Crossing and Enclave Lane will have access to their homes via Clary Circle Drive for the duration of the closure, city officials said.

The work is expected to be completed on or by April 15, weather permitting.

Correction – 9:33 a.m. March 21: A previous version of this story said Enclave Boulevard was on Greenwood’s far eastside. The road is on Greenwood’s far westside.
