FRANKLIN
On Tuesday, March 22, 2022, Craig “Scott” Hunsberger of Franklin, IN left us suddenly at the age of 60.
Scott was born on April 25, 1961 in Perkasie, PA to parents Sidney and Phyllis. He graduated from Indiana University in 1984. Scott was Regional Claims Executive for ProAssurance, where he spent the majority of his career.
Scott’s enormous passion for life led to many interests and friendships. He most enjoyed playing ice hockey, auto racing, cooking for friends and family, and sitting in the sun enjoying a good cigar, cocktail and conversation. He also had an avid love for the outdoors. Scott never met a stranger. His door was always open personally and professionally, with his faith leading him through life. His greatest gifts in life are and will forever remain his daughter Bailey and his true love of 28 years, Nancy.
Scott is preceded in death by his daughter Erin “Bailey” Worthen and his Dad, Sidney Hunsberger. Scott is survived by the love of his life Nancy Gay, his mother and step-father Phyllis and Beal Traister, his step-mother Beverly Hunsberger, sister Debi (John) and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin, IN from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm at the mortuary and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com craig-hunsberger.
