Cougars defeated in opener

Greenwood Christian started its season with a tough 10-6 loss at Bishop Chatard on Tuesday. Charlie Overton and Trey Harney each had two hits for the Cougars, with Harney driving in a pair of runs.

Local clubs accepting new swimmers

Several Johnson County swim clubs have opened registration for the upcoming summer long course season.

Center Grove Aquatic Club will host new swimmer evaluations on April 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the high school natatorium. Practices will begin on April 11. For more information, email [email protected].

Franklin College lost for the first time in its last five games, dropping a 4-3 decision to St. Olaf in Florida on Tuesday. The Grizzlies (14-5) got a pair of RBIs from Colby Reed, and Noah Wood scored a pair of runs.
