Darkness bites Royals in loss
Class 4A No. 9 Roncalli scored a pair of runs in the seventh inning to take a one-run lead, but they were wiped out when Monday’s game at Columbus North was called moments later due to darkness, forcing the Royals to leave with a 4-3 defeat. JJ Prendergrest had a two-run single in the first inning for the Royals.
