Porfirio Sanchez, 81, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his residence in Franklin, IN.
He was born on August 31, 1940 in San Nicolas, Mexico to Porfirio and Celia Sanchez. He is survived by his wife Modesta (Nevarez) Sanchez; daughter Sylvia Sanchez; grandchildren Omar DeLuna; Cesar DeLuna; Ruben Romero; Enerida Romero; Damian Romero; Charlie Perez; Sammy Juarez; Julian Juarez; sister Clotilde Sanchez. He was preceded in passing by his parents; wife Maria Vasquez Sanchez; daughter Diana Vasquez Juarez; and granddaughter Mariella Noami DeLuna.
Porfirio served in the Mexican Military.
He was employed at Maschmeyer’s Nursery in Whiteland, IN for 37 years.
Porfirio was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed gardening.
A service will be conducted on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 1:00pm at Flinn &Maguire Funeral Home 2898 N. Morton St. Franklin, IN 46131. Friends may call from 11:00am until the service time. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, IN.
