Greenwood Christian pounded out 13 hits on its way to a 14-8 victory over the Indianapolis Kings on Thursday. Trey Harney led the Cougars (2-3) with three hits.

Grizzly Cubs top Quakers

Franklin took advantage of 13 Plainfield walks on the way to a wild 13-10 win on Thursday. Jackson Henry homered for the Grizzly Cubs (2-2, 2-0 Mid-State); Henry, Jace Fowler and Logen Devenport each drove in two runs.

Lancers beaten by Jets

Edinburgh took a 16-5 loss to Mid-Hoosier Conference rival Hauser on Thursday. MacKenzie Bieker had a home run and three RBIs for the Lancers (0-4, 0-1), while Kyah Streeval went 3 for 3 with two doubles and two runs scored.

Girls tennis

Woodmen blank Cardinals

Greenwood earned a rain-shortened 3-0 triumph over Southport on Thursday. Sophia Davidson, Marisa Linville and Meri Yusef all posted singles wins for the Woodmen (1-1).

Braves take two in opener

Indian Creek started its season by defeating Owen Valley and South Putnam, posting a team score of 193. Braxton Christie led the Braves with a score of 43.
