A portion of Whiteland Road has been closed for emergency utility repairs.
Whiteland Road/Main Street is closed to through traffic from U.S. 31 to Front Street in Whiteland for an emergency repair of an underground utility under Whiteland Road. The closure will be in place until further notice, according to a Whiteland news release.
The utility being repaired is an underground utility line, and there are no outages or interruptions of service, said Carmen Parker, community development director.
A detour, along with alternate route signage, will be in place during the closure, the release says.
