Richard “Dick” Bartholomew Boling died Friday April 15th, 2022, at the age of 85. Dick loved old cars as well as race cars. He and his wife Peggy were often entertained by attending and competing in car shows with their friends. In the early years, Peggy and Dick liked going to concerts, especially when the Van-Dells were entertaining. He enjoyed family gatherings at the local Logans Roadhouse, or weather permitting, at a local park. Dick had an insatiable love for dogs and always had a beloved Maggie.
Dick loved Christmas and would go all out with lights, decorations, and lawn ornaments. It was absolutely a sight to see. He might even dress up for the occasion. He was a member of the Southland Community Church, where he faithfully attended.
Dick was born to Henry J. and Bertha Fae Wilkerson Boling and was predeceased by his parents; his lovely wife Peggy; his brother William, and child Dawnelle. He is survived by his sister Mary Mattox; children, Mark, Mike, Joanne Dekemper, Michele Wilhite, Terry Michaels and Jenny Richeson, and niece Tina Ward. Dick was blessed with ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Greenwood Chapel.
