Leadership Johnson County to host emotional intelligence workshop in May

Leadership Johnson County will host a workshop on emotional intelligence next month.

The “Emotional Intelligence: Learning When (And When Not) To Press The Pause Button” workshop will take place on May 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Johnson County Armory, 325 Minuteman Way, Franklin. The workshop will be facilitated by Susan Rozzi, and is sponsored by Modern Realty Group, according to a Leadership Johnson County news release.

Rozzi has noticed a need for impulse control, with people needing to slow down before they speak or post to social media, she said in the news release.

“Impulse Control is one of the key skills of emotional intelligence. It is the ability to control an urge, resist temptation, and to delay gratification,” Rozzi said in the news release.

Registration for the event is required. Tickets are $49 a person for Leadership Johnson County Signature Program graduates, Franklin College alumni, Aspire members and members of Franklin and Indy chambers of commerce. General public pricing is $59 per person, and group discounts are available, the news release says.
