Robert E. Lybrook

ESTERO, FLORIDA

Robert E. Lybrook was introduced to the world in 1941 and was the oldest of three children to Robert B Lybrook and Josephine Miller Lybrook Rudicel. He spent his childhood in Franklin, lived most of his adult life in Martinsville, and retired in Estero, Florida.

He was friendly to everyone he met and asked them to call him “Bob.” He wouldn’t hesitate to whip up a batch of margaritas for visitors – a drink he would come to master over time.

From childhood on, Bob always had a dog as a pet, he loved them all. He was a proud graduate of Indiana University and forever a loyal fan. Anyone within a two-mile radius was sure to hear the IU Fight Song playing whenever his cell phone rang.

After a career of being a lawyer and a magistrate, Bob threw himself into retirement. He felt he was made for that kind of life and never saw a down side. The 4th of July was his favorite holiday. With a lighter in his hand and a drink in the other, Bob could be seen smiling at the loud booms filling the air and colorful glowing embers brightening the night sky. In his retirement, he worked at the craft of winemaking and got better over time.

Always up for an adventure, Bob liked planning trips with his friends and family, whether it be by boat, plane, sports car or motorcycle. He so enjoyed being in good company and watching his grandchildren play. Bob was and is still loved by his family and friends, and his presence will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will take place from 3:00-6:00 PM, Saturday April 30, 2022, at the Foxcliff Estates Clubhouse, 4041 N. Foxcliff Drive East, Martinsville, IN 46151.
