To the Editor:
As the 2022 election gets into full swing it will be without Representative Trey Hollingsworth running for reelection. That is because Representative Hollingsworth is holding true to his word regarding a self-imposed term limit.
All too often our political office holders, whether local, state or national proclaim the need for term limits yet rarely do any of them do anything to make that happen. Trey Hollingsworth needs to be commended for holding to his word and to his believe in term limits. He should also be held as an example to all other elected offices who put their self-worth over the best interests of their constituents to stay in office as long as possible. And as we have seen all too often, it is merely for their own interests.
We should remember this as we enter the voting booths at election time.
