Softball

Lancers drub Yellow Jackets

Edinburgh jumped on top with a six-run first and rolled past Morristown, 15-0, on Friday. Gracie Crawhorn had a home run and four RBIs for the Lancers (8-7, 4-4 Mid-Hoosier), while Jasmine Hester and Katie Hardman knocked in two runs each.

Edinburgh dealt shutout loss

Edinburgh was limited to three hits in a 9-0 loss to Morristown on Friday. Landen Burton had a pair of singles for the Lancers (2-11, 0-8 Mid-Hoosier).

Track and field

Creek girls take second

Led by three individual wins from Ella Taylor, Indian Creek’s girls finished second in a Thursday meet against Owen Valley and Edgewood. Taylor was first in both the 100 and 300 hurdles and tied for first in the high jump. Abby Fleetwood shattered the school record in the 3,200 meters, while the Braves also got wins from Molly Margison in the 200 and Phoebe Dowty, Hannah Seitzinger, Paxton Marshall and Amanda Ulerick in the 4×800 relay.

Franklin College

Softball swept at home

Franklin College had its senior day spoiled by visiting Defiance, which posted wins of 7-0 and 2-1 in Friday’s doubleheader. Annie Kluemper plated Addison Csikos with the lone run for the Grizzlies (20-17, 10-6 HCAC).
