Jackson-Monroe Street intersection now four-way stop in Franklin

Drivers in downtown Franklin should be aware of a new traffic pattern at an intersection near Youngs Creek Park.

The intersection of Jackson and Monroe streets in downtown Franklin is now a four-way stop. The intersection is bordered by the Johnson County Government West Annex, Ann’s Restaurant and a public parking lot to the east, and is bordered to the west by Middle Davids Artisan Candles, a public parking lot and Youngs Creek Park.

The decision to make the intersection a four-way-stop is due to the opening of Youngs Creek Park. The new traffic pattern will ensure the safety of residents and visitors traveling in the area, according to city officials.

Youngs Creek Park, along with the DriveHubler.com Amphitheater, officially open on Friday.
