Ginger Carriann Brandon

NEW WHITELAND, IN.

Ginger Carriann Brandon 61 of New Whiteland, IN passed away on Sunday May 22, 2022, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. She was born January 30, 1961, in Lynwood, California to Floyd Thomas Brandon and Julie Ann (Ewing) Brandon.

Ginger began working as a classroom teacher with Tindley Accelerated School in Indianapolis, IN before she moved into an administration position as assistant principal. She enjoyed working with families in education for over 20 years. For generations her family had served in various military branches and immediate family having served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. She had lived in several states throughout the United States.

Her professional education began in Arizona and Colorado later earning a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Grand Canyon University and Denver University where she earned her Principal Licensure.

Raising three children had been her greatest honor and fun in her life. Recently her family gained a new member as her daughter married and now is busy with her own home and was very excited that they are expecting her first grandchild soon, a son living in Arizona and one living here in Indiana. Many things were a high priority to her, faith, family, anything to do with being in nature, bike-riding, traveling, painting, and reading, and just relaxing on her back porch with family and friends.

She was a member of Stones Crossing Church in Greenwood, IN.

Survivors include her daughter Sarah Galindo and son in law German Galindo of Holly Springs, NC, two sons Brent Brandon of Whiteland, IN and Matthew Hospelhorn of Tucson, AZ, her mother Julie Ann (Ewing) Brandon of Bloomington, IN and a brother Steve Brandon (Virginia) of Spencer, IN and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Thomas Brandon and brothers Terry Brandon, Paul Brandon and Ricky Brandon.

Pastor Scott Luck will conduct a service on Monday May 23, 2022, at 7PM at Stones Crossing Church 7000 West Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call from 5PM until the 7PM service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Stones Crossing Church 7000 West Stones Crossing Road Greenwood, IN 46143 in memory of Ginger Carriann Brandon.
