Drivers on Edinburgh’s County Line Road/County Road 800 East will have to take a detour as the road’s Interstate 65 overpass will be closed on or near Tuesday for bridge deck overlay work.
The closure is scheduled to last about four weeks, and during the construction, drivers can take a detour that follows County Road 650 S., County Road 700 E. and County Road 400 S. to get to the other side of the overpass, according to an Indiana Department of Transportation news release.
The bridge was rehabilitated last year, but work is being redone due to material difficulties, the news release says.
INDOT is reminding drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones, the news release says.
