Franklin hosting free family movie series

The Franklin Parks and Recreation Department will host its first family movie series event of the year tonight.

The featured movie is “Shark Tale,” and it will be shown during a “dive-in movie and pool party” Thursday night at the Franklin Family Aquatic Center, 396 Branigin Blvd, Franklin. The pool party starts at 6 p.m., followed by the movie at 9 p.m.

The movie will be free and concessions will be available for purchase, , city parks officials say.

There will also be two other free family movie nights later this year, with both taking place at the DriveHubler.cm Amphitheater at Youngs Creek Park.

“Remember the Titans” will be shown on Aug. 20, and “Hocus Pocus” will be shown on Oct. 8, city parks officials say.
