Franklin

Shoplifting

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Reported at 3:39 p.m. Thursday that a man was caught shoplifting. He was issued a summons to appear in court for the charge of theft.

Fraud

1880 block of Lochry Road: A woman reported at 11:42 a.m. Thursday that she had received series of phone calls from men claiming to be from companies and said she owed them money to be paid in the form of gift cards. She bought the gift cards for payment and told police they kept asking for more.

Person shot

2800 block of Traditions Court: Reported at 7:11 p.m. Thursday that a person was accidentally shot with a firearm. The victim was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Greenwood

Thefts

770 block of Greenwood Springs Drive: Reported at 7:30 a.m. Thursday the theft of a catalytic converter had occurred.

850 block of Rosewood Drive: Reported at 10:41 a.m. Thursday the theft of a prescription medication.

W. Smith Valley Road and U.S. 31: Report of a theft investigation in a parking lot at 12:20 p.m. Thursday.

1251 N. U.S. 31, Greenwood Park Mall: Reported at 3:26 p.m. Thursday the theft of a firearm that had occurred on May 25.

Shoplifting

1251 N. U.S. 31, JC Penney: Reported at 12:03 p.m. Thursday that a woman was arrested for shoplifting.

Battery

4900 block of Hickory Estates Blvd, Bargersville: Reported at 12:25 p.m. Thursday that a battery had occurred.

Narcotics

W. County Line Road and Stonegate Road, Greenwood: Reported at 8:33 a.m. Friday that deputies found an unmarked prescription pill bottle and marijuana while conducting a traffic stop. A man was summonsed for possession of a controlled substance.

Fraud

1870 block of N. Franklin Road, Greenwood: A woman reported at 8:12 a.m. Friday that someone had listed her house for rent online without her permission.

Jail Bookings

The following people were recently arrested and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Brittany R. Ball, 27, Franklin; arrested on a charge of being held contempt in court; released on $250 bond.

Shelly Yvette Bruner, 57, Edinburgh; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held without bond.

Brittany N. Caviness, 36, Greenwood; arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia; released on a $2,000 bond.

Brianna M. David, 21, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for probation violation; held on $500 bond.

Lisa Marie Foster, 39, Indianapolis; arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court; held on $500 bond.

Carrie Ann Fox, 27, Franklin; arrested on a charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years old; held on $1,200 bond.

The following people were recently arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and booked into the Johnson County jail:

Joshua D. Giokas, 42, Indianapolis; also arrested on charges of habitual traffic violator, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and operating with a controlled substance in the body; held on $5,400 bond.

Trevor S. O’Dell, 37, Greenwood; also arrested on a charge of leaving the scene of a crash; held on $4,000 bond.
