Drivers who frequent Whiteland Road or Woodcreek Court should prepare for temporary road closures next week.
In Whiteland, Whiteland Road will be closed to through traffic between U.S .31 and Graham Road in Whiteland starting on or after Monday for the installation of a sanitary sewer pipe to serve a residential subdivision that is under construction. Local access from U.S. 31 will be available up to Bailey & Wood Financial Group, 740 E. Main St., with a full closure right before Hoosier Jewelry, 1745 E. County Road 500 North, the news release says.
A detour, along with alternate route signage, will be in place during this road closure. The closure is expected to be last for a week, according to the news release.
In White River Township, Woodcreek Court will close to all traffic at the Peterman Road intersection for two days beginning on Monday for the installation of a storm sewer. Peterman Road will remain open during the project, according to a Johnson County Highway Department news release.
Homes east of the Woodcreek Court closure location will have continuous access through Long Rifle Road and Leisure Lane during the closure, the news release says.
