Here’s the latest on I-69 construction in Johnson County

Johnson County, Morgan County and southside drivers can expect continued road changes along State Road 37 this week.

As construction crews prepare to open new Bluffdale Drive access sometime next week, a small section of Knights Drive will be realigned this week just north of Smith Valley Road. Once that is completed, Smith Valley Road will close west of State Road 37 for interchange construction, according to a a project update from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

On County Line Road at State Road 37, traffic won’t stop between Southport Road and Fairview Road. State Road 37 entrance and exit ramps at County Line Road will provide access to Wicker and Bluff roads, but there is no access from County Line Road and Bluff Road to State Road 37, INDOT officials say.

On the southwest side, bridge replacement work has closed Mann Road between the Interstate 465 ramps for up to four months. There is a signed detour to get around the closure.

The I-465 westbound exit ramp is open to northbound Mann Road and the interstate’s on-ramp is open from Thompson Road and northbound Mann Road. Drivers can expect delays for flaggers, temporary traffic signals and construction traffic, as well as nighttime lane closures on the southwest portion of I-465 after 11 p.m. for Mann Road bridge demolition, INDOT officials say.

In Morgan County, striping crews are moving to the right lane of State Road 37 north of Martinsville, with all lanes expected to reopen in early July. State Road 252 closed Monday east of Interstate 69 for roundabout construction at Cramertown Loop, and there will be increased construction activity at Artesian Square Shopping Center as construction crews prepare to pave in the area, INDOT officials say.
