County commissioners seek applicants for tourism, Amity fire boards

The Johnson County Board of Commissioners is seeking individuals to fill open positions on two boards.

One position is open on the county’s Convention, Visitor and Tourism Board. A qualified applicant must be a Johnson County resident or an owner or executive level employee of a convention, visitor or tourism business located in the county.

The second opening is on the Amity Fire Protection District Board. A qualified applicant must have knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to fire protection and related activities in the district. Applicants must also reside in Amity Fire Protection District and Needham Township.

To apply for one of the open board seats, fill out the Board Appointment Interest Form by visiting the Johnson County website at co.johnson.in.us. Click on “How do I” and under the Apply section of the drop down click on “to be on a board” to find the document. Completed forms are due by close of business on June 22. Forms can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the commissioner’s office at 86 W. Court St., Franklin.
