Robert Paul Hoffman, Jr.

JOHNSON CITY, TN

Robert Paul Hoffman, Jr. died of cancer June 23, 2022, a few weeks short of his 68th birthday. As a young child, he was adopted into a loving family that didn’t always understand him but loved him unconditionally – always. After graduating High School from the Latin School of Indianapolis, he attended Vincennes University where he majored in TV and Radio. In 1994 he moved to Tennessee where he started his tenure with WETS radio where he worked until his recent retirement.

Paul (as his family knew him), Bob or “Bird” (as his friends knew him) was one of those people that once you met him, you never forgot him! His love for music ruled his insatiable need to convince everyone his musical taste should be adopted and several music genres should be forever banned. That being said, the only thing that meant more to him was his family and friends. He loved sitting at the Down Home for hours and reviewing the politics of the day or just being at home surrounded by all his animals. He was known for his quick wit, and unbelievable memory.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rosamond Hoffman. He is survived by soulmate Gabriela von Stralendorff and her children, his son, his sister Lisa (Richard) Koenigstein and nephew and niece Rob Hughes and Alexandra (Alexander) Dawe.
