Drivers who travel along Main Street in Greenwood should be prepared for a lane closure that will last through August.
The westbound lane of Main Street closed this week between Meridian Street and Madison Street to accommodate a water pipe replacement being completed by Indiana American Water.
The road closure is anticipated to run through late August, city officials say.
There is a signed detour route following Broadway Street to guide motorists around the closure.
The eastbound lane will continue to be open and city officials encourage residents to use caution in the construction zone.
