Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County is serving record numbers of households needing food assistance. The demand has created a demand for volunteers on weekdays.
Box truck drivers, van drivers and unloaders are especially needed to pick up donations in the morning. A CDL is not required to drive the van or box truck. Other volunteers are needed 10:45-3:15 p.m. to help fill orders, stock shelves and assist with providing food to households in our drive-through process.
The work involves physical stamina, being on your feet, with moderate lifting for 4.5-hour shifts. More information is available at jcpantry.org/volunteer.
