Here’s the latest on I-69 construction in Johnson County

The future Interstate 69 interchange at County Line Road is expected to open partially later this week.

The road will reopen to through traffic underneath State Road 37 between two large roundabouts. The roundabout west of State Road 37 will provide full access to the southbound entrance and exit ramps and the Bluffdale Drive frontage road. A temporary exit ramp will also provide access from northbound S.R. 37 to County Line Road. This temporary ramp and Bluff Road will connect with the new County Line Road roundabout east of State Road 37, according to the weekly construction update from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

County Road 144 reopened east of State Road 37 last week, but Old State Road 37 and Wellington Drive will stay closed north of State Road 144 for roundabout construction, INDOT officials say.

State Road 37 will have lane closures for mowing between State Road 144 and Smith Valley Road, and drivers should watch for flaggers as ongoing waterline installation work takes place on Mullinix Road south of Smith Valley Road, INDOT officials say.

In Marion County, bridgework at Mann Road and Carson Avenue will cause nightly lane closures on Interstate 465. There could be delays of up to 20 minutes. Demolition of the Carson Avenue bridge over I-465 will also close the southbound Interstate 65 ramp to westbound I-465 each night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Banta Road may also experience intermittent overnight road closures as workers lift concrete beams into place for a future I-69 bridge, INDOT officials say.
