Franklin Police, churches partner to help Kentucky flood victims

The Franklin Police Department is partnering with area churches to accept donations for the victims of the Kentucky floods.

Donations can be dropped off at the Franklin Police Department, 2801 N. Morton St., from now until Aug. 17. If there are items that need to be picked up, donors are encouraged to call the department at 317-736-3670 to make arrangements.

The items will be delivered to flood victims between Aug. 18 and 19, according to the department.

Here’s what items the department is accepting:

  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Baby food
  • Adult diapers
  • Pillows and blankets
  • Bath/dish towels
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Pots and pans
  • Non-perishable food items
  • ‘To-go’ Styrofoam containers
  • Plastic utensils
  • Paper products
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Brooms and mops
  • Shovels
  • Money for gas
  • Water
