Larry G. Campbell

FRANKLIN

Larry G. Campbell, 80 of Franklin, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 in Indianapolis.

He was born on June 30, 1942 in Franklin, Indiana to Hugh and Jean (Beckley) Campbell. Larry married Judith “Judy” (Hensley) Campbell on August 23, 1963. She lovingly survives. He is also survived by children, Chris (Jennifer) Campbell and Lisa (Chris) Eck and grandchildren, Casey (Blake) Fix, Emi Lou Campbell, Cole Campbell, Abi Eck, Alli Eck, Andi Eck and Cash Eck. He was preceded in passing by his grandparents, Chester and Hazel Beckley and Noble and Myrtle Campbell; parents; and brother, Bob Campbell.

Larry was a 1960 graduate of Franklin High School and attended the Purdue University short course.

He was a lifetime farmer in Johnson County.

He lived and breathed agriculture. He was a member of multiple farm organizations. Larry enjoyed collecting American Flyer toy trains and Erector sets and liked spending time with other collectors. Larry enjoyed boating on Lake Cumberland. Larry was an early member of Needham Volunteer Fire Department. He wanted nothing more than to farm and be with family and he did just that every single day until his passing.

Rev. Roger McDaniel will conduct a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, August 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Friday, August 12 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
