GREENWOOD
David Hanner, 71, of Greenwood passed away on August 26, 2022. He was born on April 20, 1951 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Lee and Martha Hanner.
He graduated from Ball State University then joined the family business, Hanner’s Appliance Parts and Service until 1994. He continued his career in outside sales and retired in 2016 from Menards.
He was a member of Pleasant Run United Church of Christ, where he served in many leadership roles.
David loved spending time with family, friends and his dog Bella. He also enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and CNBC.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Terri Hanner; children, Kyle Spurgeon (Lindsey) and Greg Spurgeon (Lasondra Land); grandchildren, Joel, Eli and Kaleb; sister, Shirley Long (George); brother-in-law and golfing buddy, Ted Bovard (Margie); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant granddaughter, Miriam.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday, September 1, 2022.
