Lila Lee Bobenmoyer

INDIANAPOLIS

Lila Lee Bobenmoyer, 91, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2022. Born in Green Bay, WI to Lloyd & Catherine LaMere, Lila was a loving and devoted wife of 67 years to Keith, and to her children, Gary Michael Bobenmoyer (deceased) and Peggy Sue Gabbard.

Lila was a wonderful homemaker & touched many lives throughout the years finding joy in family, being a good friend, and by helping others as a member of the Phi Delta Pi, Rho Chapter Social Sorority and Rosedale Hills United Methodist Church. Lila was a graduate of the Class of 1949 from Warren Central High School, where she met the love of her life, Keith, and friendships that have lasted a lifetime.

Lila loved life and was the “life of the party” wherever she went. Throughout the years, she hosted many gatherings, traveled, vacationed with family & friends before retiring to Florida with many of their classmates and friends nearby.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents, husband Keith, son Gary and brother, Lloyd LaMere.

Lila is survived by her daughter Peggy Sue Gabbard, grandson Mike Gillock (Jeanie), great-grandchildren Cody, Jackson & Samantha Gillock, sister-in-Law Judy LaMere, nieces & nephews Laurie McRae (Brian), Leeann Chambers, Lynn Dennis, Melissa Bobenmoyer, Butch Bobenmoyer, Donnie and Stacy Bobenmoyer, great nieces & nephews Nicole McRae and sons Perry and Paxton, Vanessa Dennis, Ross and Brad Bobenmoyer and their children.

A visitation will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022, at Singleton & St. Pierre Funeral Home, 7602 Madison Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227 from 11a-1p. A funeral will immediately follow the visitation.
