Cooper Durant Tonte

FRANKLIN, INDIANA

Cooper Durant Tonte, aged six months, of Franklin, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born on February 26, 2022 and placed in the loving arms of his doting parents, Joseph Anthony Tonte and Rachel JoAnn (Dobbs) Tonte. He is also survived by his big brother, best friend, and playmate, Connor Joseph Tonte, aged three.

Cooper, you were the happiest boy and would light up a room with the slightest of smirks. A giggle, a laugh, and a quick burying of the head in our chests. Everything was a game to you. Everything was fun and exciting. From your squeezable cheeks to your squishy little feet, you were the best of us and genuinely made every waking moment brighter.

On September 13th, you left your parents, your brother, your aunts and uncles, your grandparents, and your great-grandparents. Just know that even though you were here for such a little amount of time, that this is not even remotely close to the impact you had on everyone around you. You will be with us forever.

You could not speak, but everyone listened. You could not crawl, but you were never immobile. You could not walk, but you were an explorer. You could not tell us, but we know you felt loved.

Sleep well, Cooper Durant Tonte. We will miss you, Little Bud, but you will never be forgotten.

“May the road rise up to meet you.

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;

the rains fall soft upon your fields,

and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.”
