Indiana colleges waiving application fees later this month

Six Indiana colleges will waive college application fees during Indiana’s College Application Week.

Indiana State University, IUPUI, Martin University, Purdue University Fort Wayne, Purdue University Northwest and University of Southern Indiana will waive their usual application fees during the application week, which is Sept. 26-30, according to a news release from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

Another 33 Indiana colleges, including Franklin College, IUPUC, Ivy Tech Community College and the University of Indianapolis already have applications year-round, the release says.

College Application Week is a part of Learn More Indiana’s annual College GO! initiative that takes place each August through November with information and resources designed to help Hoosier K-12 students explore and plan for education beyond high school. The official kick-off to College GO! is the last full week in September, coinciding with College Application Week.

Prospective students are encouraged to talk to colleges for more information about college application fee waivers. A full list of participating colleges can be found online at resources.learnmoreindiana.org/collegego.
