Edward G. “Ed” Hendrickson

FRANKLIN, INDIANA

Edward G. “Ed” Hendrickson, 73, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on September 21, 2022 after a long, tiring battle with lung disease at Franciscan Health Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Ed enjoyed watching sports, horse races, NASCAR, playing cards with family and friends, and loved a good homecooked meal.

Ed served in the USMC during the Vietnam War, enlisting at 16 years old and returning a sergeant, something he was very proud of. He worked with his family at Mr. Liquor Stores for several years, then at KYB Industries in Franklin for over 20 years before becoming sick and having to retire.

Ed is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sheila Hendrickson; sons, Eddie (Shannon) Hendrickson, Rodney Bradley, and Chris (Crystal) Bradley; daughters, Mika (Gary) Smith and Mindy (Jason) Hargis; brother, Mike (Marsha) Hendrickson; sister, Kathy Hendrickson; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, James Robert “Bob” Hendrickson; loving mother, Margret (Crowe) Hendrickson; brother, Bobby Hendrickson; granddaughter, Olivia Bradley.

Ed will be greatly missed by many people, for his quick-witted words and sense of humor, love of sports, and family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 1:00pm at Jessen &Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the funeral hour. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
