Johnson County Museum holding Genealogy Day event

The Johnson County Museum of History will be hosting a genealogy day next week.

Genealogy Day 2022 will take place on Oct. 8. During the event, residents can learn from genealogists about fascinating new aspects of the field of genealogy, including the 1950 U.S. Census and the Church of Latter-Day Saints’ Digitization Project, according to a Johnson County Museum of History news release.

Residents can also learn about why and how they can leave their stories behind for future researchers, the news release says.

Entrance to the event costs $15, with lunch provided. For more information about other upcoming events, call 317-346-4500 or visit johnsoncountymuseum.org.
