Girls soccer

Warriors edge Pioneers

Emma Gill scored a pair of goals and Madison Fleury added another as Whiteland pulled out a 3-2 win over Mooresville on Wednesday. the Warriors got assists from Alexa LaPorte and Haley Achs.

Cougars overpower Trinity

Greenwood Christian picked up a 5-1 victory over Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday night. Alli Curlee scored her 21st and 22nd goals of the season for the Cougars, Reagan Boyce and Addie Jolley each tallied one goal and Izzy Cameron had three assists. On the back end, Danielle McLaughlin made five saves and Ana Blow added three.

Roncalli gets past Speedway

Drew Kegerreis’ second penalty kick of the nightwith just seconds remaining lifted Roncalli to a 3-2 win over Speedway on Wednesday. Isaac Gomez-Alejo had the other goal for the Royals (9-6).

Grizzly Cubs tie Dragons

Franklin battled to a 2-2 draw with New Palestine on Tuesday. Matt Payne and Griffin Atkison each scored a goal for the Grizzly Cubs, while Ethan Elsner had an assist and Adam Ott made four saves in net.

Boys tennis

Royals eliminated by Flashes

Henry Howe won his singles match but Roncalli came out on the losing end of a 4-1 score during Wednesday’s sectional match at Franklin Central. The Royals finish with a 4-14 record.

Volleyball

Roncalli humbles Giants

Skylar Kritzmire had 12 kills and Addy Haberthy dished out 35 assists as Roncalli swept Ben Davis 25-12, 25-9, 25-14 on Wednesday. Ella Guilfoy added 16 digs for the Royals (17-6).

Grizzly Cubs sweep Quakers

Franklin defeated Mid-State Conference rival Plainfield 25-12, 25-16, 25-17 at home on Tuesday evening.
