FRANKLIN
Amy Jo Kitchen, 56, passed away at her residence in Franklin on October 16, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
Amy was born on August 24, 1966 in Franklin. Her parents were Charles “Charlie” Kitchen and Martha (Brooner) Kitchen. They preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Lisa Ann Kitchen of Indianapolis and brother, Jack Reed Kitchen of Dale, Indiana. She is also survived by her precious dog, Renny and her special friends, Kelly McCay, Pam Anderson, and Valarie Zufall.
Amy was a graduate of Franklin Community High School and Franklin College. She was employed by the Johnson County Public Library for 33 years and served as Graphic Designer, a career she very much loved.
She was a part of the Leadership Johnson County class of 2019, a member of First Baptist Church of Franklin, and was in 4-H for 10 years.
Like her mother and very much unlike her father, Amy loved to travel. She spent many hours on the road and in the air traveling, road-tripping, and just being out in the world. She also loved to take rides in the country with the windows down and the radio up.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Johnson County Public Library, Franklin Branch. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Johnson County Humane Society at 3827 Graham Road Franklin, Indiana 46131.
