Donna Lew Steenbarger

INDIANAPOLIS, IN.

Donna Lew (Daubpenspeck) Steenbarger, 80 of Indianapolis, IN was born July 24, 1942, in Indianapolis to Homer and Mary Lew (Wright) Daubenspeck.

She passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022, at I.U. Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.

She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1960. She graduated from Purdue University in 1964 with a degree in speech pathology and Masters’s degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy from Ball State University in 1966. She served as a speech therapist for Rise Learning Center serving Perry Township Schools and Decatur Township Schools.

She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, teacher, Bible teacher, mentor to many, and missionary outreach, especially to the country of Hungary. She was accomplished in her Speech therapist work—a faithful handmaiden of the Lord.

She took her life in Christ seriously and was not ashamed of the Gospel; sharing her faith openly and unashamedly!

Loyal friend, a friend of the unborn, a good neighbor, homemaker. Active in church life, and political life supporting conservative values.

She was a member of Stones Crossing Church in Greenwood, IN.

One of her enduring qualities of Donna is her sense of humor. She enjoyed laughing. Some of the best times included sitting around the table playing cards with long-time friends. She’ll be missed by many!!!! Wonderful, involved grandmother.

Donna is survived by her husband Dave B. Steenbarger of Indianapolis, IN her daughter Joy Steenbarger Walls (Randy Walls) of Greenwood, IN, her son Mark Steenbager (Jill Steenbarger) of Indianapolis, IN, and her granddaughter Abby Walls.

Pastors David Joseph and Scott Luck will conduct a service Saturday October 22, 2022 at 2:30 PM at Stones Crossing Church 7000 West Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Saturday October 22, 2022 from 11AM until service time at the church. A graveside service will be conducted on Monday October 24, 2022 at 10AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood, IN.

Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South Morton Street in Franklin, IN is handling the arrangements.
