Operation Bundle Up accepting coats

Families can get the cold-weather gear they need through a local program.

Operation Bundle Up, a program of United Way of Johnson County, is collecting new and gently used warm winter coats for families in need.

The public can help Johnson County kids stay warm this winter by donating new hats, gloves, scarves, and new or gently used coats.

Donation boxes will be available at:

  • Johnson County area schools
  • Daily Journal – 30 S. Water St., Ste. A, Franklin
  • First Financial Bank – Johnson County Branches
  • Horizon Bank – Johnson County Branches
  • Milto Cleaners
  • Mutual Savings Bank – Johnson County Branches

The outerwear distribution will be 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Turning Point Church, 3600 N. Morton St., Franklin.

All children must be accompanied by an adult in order to receive a coat.

Adults must bring ID and proof of Johnson County residency.
