Glenda Jane “Janie” Teets Williams went home to her Lord and Savior on October 23, 2022 at the age of 75 after a long battle with dementia.
Janie is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Williams, her daughter Gina and husband Brad Fee and granddaughter, Mabel Grace. She is proceeded in death by her parents Charles and Mabel Teets.
Janie was born August 1, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Greenwood Community High School in 1965. She went on to graduate from beauty school and worked as a beautician until Gina was born. When she returned to work she worked as a receptionist at a local animal hospital. She loved animals. In 2010 she retired from a 26 year career as a dental assistant.
Janie married Jerry in November 2003. Together they enjoyed several Caribbean cruises. She loved spending time at the beaches in Florida. Both she and Jerry were avid Mickey Mouse fans and enjoyed numerous trips to Disney World.
Janie also enjoyed visiting the casinos and playing penny slots. She loved attending festivals and craft fairs.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 at the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service &Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood.
The funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Shan Rutherford 11:00am Friday, October 28th at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
