Thefts
2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Loss prevention employee reported at 5:12 p.m. Sunday that a man was using a self checkout and he would select items in his shopping cart, scan them and place them in bags and then use these bags to cover up items in his shopping cart that had not been paid for then tried to leave the store.
1130 block of Grassy Creek Circle: A woman reported at 7:21 p.m. Saturday that a family member had stolen items from her residence.
2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: A loss prevention officer reported at 4:59 p.m. Saturday that a woman had gathered several items from her cart, scanning one of the items then placing all the items into the bagging area (skip-scanning) totaling over $110.
2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: A asset protection employee reported at 6:07 p.m. Friday that a woman had scanned one item and than placed several items into Walmart bags this process is called skip scanning and she had over $200 worth of product is the bags not scanned and when confronted she fled the area.

1350 U.S. 31 S., Speedway: Reported at 5:57 a.m. Sunday that a man attempted to use a movie prop $100 bill for gas.

3230 block of Hemlock St.: A woman reported at 9:25 a.m. Saturday that she made payments to an unknown cash app account after receiving an email that advised she owed money and after paying over $1,500 she realized it was a scam.
