Volleyball falls to Hanover

Franklin College took the first set but couldn’t maintain the upper hand in a 23-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-19 home loss to Hanover on Wednesday. Miranda Wilson had 11 kills and Kaitlyn Lavy 10 for the Grizzlies (8-15, 2-6 HCAC), while Billie Jarrett had 23 assists and Campbell Clark added 18 digs.

Men’s soccer ties Pioneers

Neither team was able to find the net as Franklin College battled visiting Transylvania to a 0-0 draw. Goalkeeper Ian Rowe made seven saves to maintain a clean sheet for the Grizzlies (3-11-1, 3-5-1 HCAC), who needed a win to qualify for the conference tournament.

Women’s soccer finishes with loss

Despite a 13-save effort from Makenna Mundy in goal, Franklin College wound up on the wrong end of a 5-0 score at Transylvania. The Grizzlies end the season at 3-12-1 overall and 1-7-1 in HCAC play.
