Last day to submit applications for absentee by mail voting

Today is the final day for county clerks to receive an absentee ballot application from an applicant requesting delivery of an absentee ballot by mail.

The application to request a mail-in ballot must be received no later than 11:59 p.m., 12 days before the election, according to Indiana law.

Johnson County voters may submit applications in person at the Johnson Courthouse, 5 E Jefferson St, Franklin from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Applications may also be obtained by phone at 317-346-4467, fax at 317-736-3798 or through the Indiana Voter Portal.

Absentee in-person voting is underway at the Johnson County Courthouse and will expand to other sites starting Saturday.
