Woodmen sweep three-way

Greenwood pulled out a couple of narrow dual-meet wins on Thursday, defeating Roncalli 54-47 and New Palestine 52-48. The Woodmen won the medley and 200 freestyle relays and got individual victories from Naomi Weaver (200 IM and 100 butterfly), Hailey Peckinpaugh (500 freestyle) and Elly Guipe (100 breaststroke).

Braves fall to Golden Bears

Indian Creek lost to Shelbyville, 105-51. Ella Taylor won both the 50-yard freestyle and 1-meter diving for the Braves, who also took first in the 400 freestyle relay.

Men’s basketball rolls in home opener

Carter Crowe poured in a game-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting as Franklin College enjoyed an 83-61 rout of Wilmington (Ohio) in its home opener on Thursday. Lynn King added 11 points and Logan Hudgins grabbed 12 rebounds for the Grizzlies (2-2), who led by 11 at halftime and pulled away by opening the second half with a 28-8 blitz.
