Girls basketball

Royals defeat Warriors

Roncalli took an early lead and held it throughout in a 67-47 home win over Whiteland on Tuesday. Claire Lindsey finished with 20 points, Heaven Thompson 14 and Sydney Horton 11 for the Royals (). Addison Emberton had 12 points, Emma Piercy 11 and Gwen Higdon 10 for the Warriors (3-6).

Lancers take home loss

Edinburgh was defeated by visiting Oldenburg Academy, 41-29. Gracie Crawhorn scored 17 points for the Lancers (3-5), followed by Kenna Streeval with seven and Cloee Britton with five.

Boys basketball

Whiteland rolls past Olympians

Brayden Roy finished with a game-high 18 points as Whiteland topped Columbus East on Tuesday, 69-50. Wiatt McLaughlin and Ethan Edwards each added 13 points for the Warriors (1-1), with Austin Willoughby and Gavin Stubbe chipping in nine apiece. Edwards and Stubbe combined to make seven 3-pointers.

Cougars fall just short

Greenwood Christian suffered a narrow 51-47 defeat at Park Tudor. Blake Shewmaker had 23 points in defeat for the Cougars (1-1, 0-1 PAAC), with Max Booher adding 15.

Swimming and diving

Warrior girls win tri-meet

Whiteland’s girls defeated both Martinsville and Decatur Central on Tuesday, putting up 153 points to win by a comfortable margin. The Warriors split on the boys side, easily defeating the Artesians but taking a 139-109 loss against the Hawks.

Franklin College

Men’s basketball rolls past Centre

Franklin College knocked down a season-best 16 3-pointers on the way to a 74-52 home win over Centre College on Tuesday. Carter Crowe had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies (3-3), while Cody Samples scored 12 and reserves Ryan Bostic and Jalen Love added 11 and 10 off the bench, respectively.
